Farnsworth-Munsell® 100 Hue Test

The Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Test is a widely recognized and effective method for assessing an individual's color vision. Developed in the 1940s, it evaluates the ability to discern subtle variations in hue across the visible spectrum. The test consists of four trays, each containing 25 colored caps arranged in a specific sequence. The participant's task is to arrange the caps in a continuous hue progression, and the number and severity of errors are recorded to determine the total error score (TES). A higher TES indicates greater difficulty in color discrimination, potentially signifying a color vision deficiency. This test is commonly used in various industries, including design, healthcare, and manufacturing, to ensure accurate color perception.
