The Eppendorf Centrifuge 5425 R is a whisper-quiet 24-place refrigerated microcentrifuge, engineered for reliable performance with temperature-sensitive samples up to 5 mL. With its advanced cooling system, it maintains 4 °C even at maximum speed and reaches that temperature within just 8 minutes using its FastTemp function. The unit benefits from compressor-based vibration reduction, safeguarding both samples and instrument integrity. Its OptiBowl® design ensures exceptionally quiet operation—even without a rotor lid. Built for ergonomic use, the 5425 R features aerosol-tight QuickLock® rotor lids that lock with a simple quarter-turn, a soft-touch, one-finger lid closure, and offers both keypad and rotary knob controls for flexible and hygienic operation. It supports a wide variety of workflows with six interchangeable rotors, including fixed-angle rotors accommodating up to 24 × 1.5/2.0 mL tubes or 10 × 5 mL tubes, as well as a swing-bucket rotor suitable for PCR strip or plate setups.
